Just recently I finished up my personal goldfish project www.desktopgoldfish.com. This is the first of several fish related websites I will be launching in the coming months. This was a lot of fun to design, build, and write. The research was very interesting and I feel like I learned a lot about goldfish, and fish in general.

With the quick rise of Beautiful Society there were some quick changes that became extremely obvious after the 200+ members had put in almost 1,000 favorites. Todays update was the addition of a tag cloud for the ’society favorites’. Dynamically build via PHP, and styled with CSS this tag cloud is both functional and beautiful.

Beautiful Society has entered the blog-o-sphere and is running at a steady pace. Since the Mashable write-up we got noticed by several other blogs.
The one bringing in the most traffic at the moment is our listing on Killer Startups. I never really thought of Beautiful Society as a start-up at all, but wouldn’t it be killer.
Go read the review at KillerStartups.com , and help make Beautiful Society Killer!

A huge THANK YOU, to Mashable for reviewing Beautiful Society. Beautiful Society was named one of the top ten most beautiful social networks. Mashable had this to say…
Beautiful Society - ok, this one was a no-brainer. With a name like that, one would expect beautiful design and Beautiful Society delivers. The site revolves around the concept of “favorite things†- users get to pick things they like, which become separate entities that get more votes and rise the rank of popularity as more and more users add them to the list. All this is wrapped in a nice orange/blue design with a lot of rounded corners and nothing to upset our sensitive eyes.
I was honored by the comments, and this is a real professional victory for me! Thank you!
Rounding out the top ten were:

or, Did you hear what you thought I said?
I am starting to find a difference from time to time. While people may have said one thing, I have a tendency to relate it to something completely different.
So listen carefully. Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it!

How’s your current text editor? How many windows do you have open at once? More than one? I would guess so if you are anything like me. Let’s count. File windows (5 or more), File Browser / FTP Window, CSS Window, Terminal Window, Web Browser, and not to forget any resource material you may need… HTML, Javascript, CSS, PHP that’s another 4. So, on a busy day I will have to deal with at least a dozen windows. To much clutter.
Introducing, Coda - One Window Web Development. I’ve only been playing with it for a few days, but I was instantly taken with the idea of reducing clutter on my screen. Having found some good text editors in the past, only to be driven back to Dreamweaver due to the FTP capabilities, I was happily surprised to find a fast, effective file transfer included in Coda, along with all the other important options. Could I have found my new favorite text editor. I think I just may have!
Just check out the screen shot.
- A great display of sites instantly caught my eye. No more boring drop downs to find a site. And having over 50 sites to deal with, a graphic display is a great way to see them all at a glance.
- Local and Remote Folders close at hand! No more finding the file manager window, it’s all in one window.
- So many more great features I could go on for a while.

If your on a MAC, go download this application. Try it out for 14 days. If you are anything like me you’ll have your credit card in hand ready to buy after a few short hours of fun.

For just over 45 days I have been working every day to get 2007 off to a great start! Thankfully the hard work has paid off. Now with my 28th birthday birthday approaching I am happy to say that I am taking some time off, just a few days though. I’ll be back to work on Tuesday February 20th.

It happened a 4:00pm today. The new Tucker Paisley Website went up. The new version is geared more towards the customer base than version 1, and is more cross browser friendly as well. The CJG Store was updated as well with a more usable category, subcategory system. Using some scriptaculous javascript we added the Slideshow to the home and product pages making the shopping experience fast and friendly.
We look forward to watching Tucker Paisley grow, it’s amazing how the have grown in less than a year. Just check out the press section to understand what I mean.

Been an extremely busy week. I have been asked to help finish what a previous developer could not do, and this is not the first time this has happened either. Nayburz has contracted CJGraphix to see their project through. A Social Networking site centered around individual neighborhoods sounded like the perfect test of CJGraphix’ skills. With a tight deadline I probably won’t see the light of day for the next 3 weeks.
